L’Arche Calgary is a place where people with developmental disabilities and those who share life with them live in a community designed to bring out the best of all members, mentally, physically and spiritually.
L’Arche Calgary has five homes in Calgary, a Supported Independent Living Program, and Tamarack Day Program. L’Arche Calgary supports 32 people with developmental disabilities. L’Arche Calgary is part of an international federation of L’Arche communities, started in France in 1964. L'Arche has beconme an international movement with 147 communities throughout the world. There are 29 L'Arche communities in Canada.
