The Wild Bird Store – Southern Alberta's Backyard Birding Specialist

The Wild Bird Store has been around since 1997 when Mac and Linda Brown purchased it and broke away from an American Franchise, becoming the only independently owned Wild Bird Store in southern Alberta. They spent the next 16 years building it to be Southern Alberta’s Backyard Birding Specialist.
October 1st 2013 marked a new era for The Wild Bird Store when Mac and Linda made the tough decision to retire and pass the reins over to their daughter, Kristin and her husband, Dave.
Customer service is fast becoming a lost art and we at the Wild Bird Store aim to bring it back to the forefront.
Education has been an ongoing process as our staff continue to learn everyday striving to bring the most accurate information to you the consumer. Amenities: Public toilet In October of 2017 we have taken our next step. We are in our new location. Please come and visit us and check out our great customer service, new Gallery/Classroom and expanded product lines. We hope to see you there.

Our staff will work with each customer individually to help them set up their backyard so that there is harmony amongst the backyard birds. All of our wood and wrought iron products are hand crafted locally in Calgary.
In October 2015 we launched our Bird Seed Truck. Our hope is to expand our reach into the other areas of Calgary and surrounding area by providing the same great Customer service, education and products as in our store but in a mobile format.
