Advanced Upstream is seeking a Production Manager (Completion Tools) to join our team in Calgary, AB. In the role of Production Manager (Completion Tools), you will be primarily responsible for the planning and management of all assembly and qualification testing on all of Advanced Upstream’s completion tools. Including but not limited to motivation of assembly staff, constant improvements to efficiencies and lowering cost, following and maintaining best practices, troubleshooting and being able to think outside the box.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule, plan, and manage all assembly and testing of downhole completion tool build projects
- Follow and enforce production best practices including product assembly and testing manuals
- Increase production assembly and testing efficiencies
- Increase staff motivation and ensure proper time allocation
- Working directly with supervisors to improve shop flow and inventory control
- Produce, plan and maintain Gantt charts for all projects
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Manage a team of 10 or more personnel
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE Canadian Work Permit and MUST RESIDE IN CANADA
- Experienced in an oil and gas completion tools assembly and shop environment
- 5 years min management experience
- Degree, diploma, or certification in a mechanical engineering course or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including problem resolution and motivational skills
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Must be driven, self-motivated and have a good attitude
- Understanding of cad drawings, machining, fabrication and raw materials
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments
- Experience in downhole tool pressure testing
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Technical trades certificate/training
Working Conditions:
- Required to wear steel toe boots, safety glasses or side shields, and ear protection in shop environment as required
Physical Requirements:
- Possible physical requirements: squatting, lifting bending, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling and working near moving equipment
