Job Description:
- Provide networking subject matter expertise in support of our Network Operations team.
- Proactively improve the Network from implementing small configuration changes, code/hardware upgrades and other proactive initiatives.
- Maintain and configure Load Balancers (F5), Routers and Switches (Cisco/Juniper), Cisco WiFi, Cloud Networking, Management Tools (Cisco ISE/Catalyst Center, F5 Big-IQ, NetBox) and Network documentation.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and service recovery of escalated network and customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with other internal teams, outsourced service providers and equipment vendors in the planning and maintenance of Suncor's corporate network assets and technologies.
- Help to develop and implement the plan for network technologies and services to meet or exceed technical and security standards and policies, Network PCI, and SOX compliance.
- Ensure critical network infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements, and the Network team is ready and capable of participating in disaster recovery activities.
- Participate in defining standards, policies and processes for network operations in alignment with our strategy.
- Monitor the network (Grafana, Catalyst Center, Big-IQ, Viavi) and ITIL ticketing system (ServiceNOW).
- 10 years of industry work experience.
- Post-secondary education in Networking technologies, Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent).
- SME level knowledge of network troubleshooting and monitoring systems.
- Technical knowledge of a large enterprise or service provider Network with specific knowledge in WAN/LAN, MPLS, optimization, cloud computing, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, QOS and TCP/IP.
- Network load balancing experience (F5 preferred).
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of telecommunications hardware, protocols and network systems.
- Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCSA or above).
- Juniper Certifications (JNSIA or above).
- Experience with ITIL Foundations.
