Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team for 2 phases of construction as we prepare our new warehouse location in Calgary. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the operations on our project management crew.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is an ideal position for students and professional alike.
- Phase 1 will start on 9 Mar 2026 for up to 4 weeks
- Phase 2 will start on 6 Apr 2026 for up to 4 weeks
- Monday to Saturday 08h00 - 17h00. Some overtime may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform physical labor tasks including, shoveling, lifting heavy lumber, climbing ladders.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Working at heights in a lift.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- A valid non GDL class 5 driver’s license.
- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds unassisted) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Schedule
- Day shift
- Monday to Saturday
- Overtime as needed
PPE
Please have CSA approved Yellow Rectangle (Sole puncture & Electrical Shock Resistance rated) footwear. Clothing for some outdoor work (10%).
