Job from partnerAs the Apprentice Technician/Mechanic you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technicians and Tractor Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.
Qualifications:
Apprentice with minimum of Level 1 Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic
You will be a registered Apprentice with the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board
Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam
The desire to obtain your Heavy Equipment Technician License will be key to your success in this position
Experience working on tractors and trailers as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic would be an asset
Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry)
Class 5 Driver’s License
Can stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less
Shift Schedules:
This position is permanent full-time and subject to a Monday to Thursday from 16:00-02:30 shift.
