**Summary**
The purpose of the Material Handler II is to accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and perform inventory counts as required.
**Essential Functions**
+ Pull orders accurately as assigned.
+ Read, interpret and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
+ Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
+ Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer. Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered
+ Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
+ Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
+ May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment. Perform housekeeping duties
**Additional Responsibilities**
+ Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Skills and Abilities**
+ Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
+ Ability to input data into computer system(s) in use
+ Work overtime as assigned
+ Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
+ Ability to work independently and as member of a team
+ Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
+ Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
+ Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
**Qualifications**
+ H.S. diploma/GED preferred
+ One (1 year or more related warehouse experience preferred
+ One (1 year or more powered industrial lift experience preferred
+ Powered industrial truck certification
**Safety Sensitive**
Non-Regulated Tech-Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
**DOT Regulated:** No
